Kiplagat hopes to secure a spot in Rio

Nairobi - Kenyan runner Florence Kiplagat is feeling confident that she can secure
a spot at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games after he victory in Barcelona.
Despite not achieving the world record time that she was aiming for,
the Chicago Marathon champion admitted that the conditions weren't ideal
to so in Cataluña.
"It was hard for me to break the world record because the winds were so strong," she told xinhuanet.com.
"Moreover, I had just recovered from a cold and was not in my best form. But I wanted to win and am happy I did just that.
"I was not in shape for another record. But now I will head to Iten
to keep on with my build-up for the London Marathon in April. I would
like to make the Kenyan team for the Rio Olympics and try to get my
first Olympic medal."
