Kenya 7s coach praises quartet despite dismal performances

08 December 2015, 19:03

Nairobi - Despite having a torrid time during the first leg of the Sevens World Series, the Dubai Sevens, Kenya Sevens head coach Benjamin Ayimba has praised new boys Nelson Oyoo (Nakuru), Jeffrey Oluoch (Homeboyz), Frank Wanyama (Kenya Harlequin) and Robert Aringo (Impala).

Bowing out at the bowl semi final with a loss against France 33-7, Aiymba admitted that they did not play very well but was still impressed with their debutants.

"Although we didn’t perform as per many people’s expectations, I have been pleased with how well our debutantes stepped up to the plate," Ayimba told Feverpitch on phone from Dubai.

"The new boys played very well. It’s just to gel before all systems go for us."
