Injera targets record

29 January 2016, 12:32

Nairobi - Aiming to break the record of scoring 230 tries, set by Santiago Gomez, Kenya sevens vice-captain Collins Injera has said that he will do everything he can to break it.

Currently on 209 tries, Injera is third on the list behind Ben Collins.

"In theory people will say it looks easy; 21 tries for Collins should be manageable but I realised when you focus on the target it gets harder," Injera told the-star.co.ke.

"You struggle with scoring so for me I just need to keep playing the game and not chasing the record.

"I just want to play my role in the team having moved more into a play-making role."
