Bondo gets ready for first AK event

Nairobi - As the Bondo prepare for their first ever Athletics Kenya track and field meeting at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Universiy, AK Nyanza North chairman Joseph Ochieng said that it will apart of their 2017 World Youth Championships preparation.

Ochieng also stressed the importance of the hard work that needs to into the preparation of the Youth Championships in Nairobi next year.

"We have to work hard on this because our youths did their best in Colombia last year. We can’t afford to be beaten home," he told the-star.co.ke.

The AK Nyanza North public relations officer Jared Gilo also added: "This event is very important in the AK calendar considering this is an Olympic year. This is why we are calling on athletes from all cadres to honour the meeting."
