Big bash planned for Kenya Sevens champs at Ole Sereni

Nairobi - Kenya is planning a big bash for the Sevens team following their historic win in the just concluded Singapore Sevens rugby tournament.
The team is expected to arrive at the JKIA at 2.30pm, where they will be received by a delegation led by Sports CS Hassan Wario, Sports Development PS Richard Ekai Titus, Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer Mbuvi Ngunze and the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Chairman Richard Omwela.
From there, they will head to Ole Sereni Hotel for a lunch at around 3.30pm, Standard reports.
According to Daily Nation, the champions have dedicated their win to former players who include the likes of Jackson Omaido, Tom Oketch, Pritt Nyandat, Evans Vitisia, Beth Alunga, Max Muniafu, Cliff Mukulu, Andrew Ahuga, Peter Belsoi and the late Jimmy Owino.
Kenya shocked Fiji 30-7 in the final of the Singapore Rugby Sevens to claim their first World Series title, becoming the second African nation after South Africa to win a World Series leg.
