Nairobi - As the 2016 Rio Olympic Games approaches, Kenya's Shehzana Anwar, 13-years-old, has set her sights on qualifying for the Games.
The young archer also added that it would be an honour to fly her
country's flag and said that despites the disadvantages she has compared
to her competitors, she has still not given up her dream.
"It has always been my dream to represent Kenya at the Olympic Games
but you can never set yourself up to the challenges ahead because one
has to leave room for disappointment," she told the-star.co.ke.
"I always set myself up to do my absolute best and whatever the results, I will be happy to have flown the country's flag.
"International standards require archers to at least have two bows
during competition and more than ten arrows. This enables you to have
back up in case one bow breaks during competition. However, this has not
stopped my dream and I am already planning my training ahead of Rio
