Wangeci set for French move

Nairobi - Kenya Pipeline Women's Volleyball Club player Esther Wangeci is set to sign a professional contract with French club Chamalieres.
The right attacker was spotted and approached by Toubani Atman, a coach at the club, after her recent performances.
Kassuja Onyonyi, team manager at Pipelines, told the Star newspaper that the club will not stand in Wangeci’s way.
“Wangeci is employed temporally by the company and so we will have to follow the right procedure,” he said.
“I am aware many players dream of playing professional volleyball
abroad. We are happy that one of our own has attracted the attention of
European club coaches. That is something to be proud of.

Atman also approached Evelyne Makuto, who was voted most valuable
player at the recently concluded African Nations Championship, which
