Nairobi - National women volleyball team captain Brackcides Agala is confident her side will put an end to their long standing run of disappointing results at international level when they compete at the 2014 FIVB World Grand Prix.
"Lady luck has rarely smiled our way which is disappointing considering our dominance on the (African) continent,” she told National Sport.
“But these players have the quality to win an international match and I am confident we can achieve this feat at the Grand Prix.”
The team remains winless on the international front in five tournaments, are set to fly to Mexico on Monday where they will debut at the Grand Prix with fixtures against the host nation, alongside Bulgaria and Algeria lined up in Pool P.
The team will then proceed to Croatia on July 28 to compete in the second circuit of the same event against Croatia, Bulgaria and Australia in Pool S.
