Volleyball playoffs take centre stage over the weekend

Nairobi - The Kenya Volleyball Federation KVF national league final playoffs will take centre stage this weekend as the season comes to a close.

The playoffs for both men and women kick off Friday at the Africa Nazarene University stadium in Ongata Rongai and will culminate in the winners being declared Saturday.

Women's sides in the competition are defending champions Kenya Prisons, Kenya Pipeline, Nairobi Water and KCB. The men's playoffs will see defending champions Prisons, GSU, Forest Rangers and Ulinzi.

Prisons captain Diana Khisa was looking forward to the challenge.

" We are keen to retain our title and we are ready to battle hard. We have know what it takes to win the title and we will be prepared, she said in training Thursday.

The matches will be played on a round robin basis where the winner of the respective leagues will be declared champions.
