Treu eyes New Zealand improvement

Nairobi - Kenya sevens rugby head coach Paul Treu says his side will improve for the upcoming series in Wellington New Zealand after a poor show in Las Vegas.
Kenya were far from their best in Vegas despite having a settled group of core players available and were well beaten 35-0 by Fiji in the bowl final after failing to make the Cup quarters.
The display meant they dropped to eighth in the overall standings and will need to improve ten-fold if they are to do better in New Zealand.
" We were poor and deserved to do badly, he said.
" I apologize to all Kenyans on behalf of the team and urge them to continue backing us in this time that we are not doing well at all.
" This is a transitional period for the side but despite that, I do not expect displays like the ones we have seen in Vegas.
" We are all hurt as a team and want to show that we can do better when we arrive in New Zealand. That is the bare minimum, he added.
Kenya are in Pool D for the Wellington Sevens alongside Samoa, Australia
and Tonga. This tournament takes place on 7/8 February in New Zealand.
