Top athletes to compete at National Athletics Championships

Nairobi - The top athletes have taken the decision to compete at the
National Athletics Championships (NAC) on Thursday at the Safaricom Stadium in Kasarani.
Most of them will either be competing in the IAAF Diamond League in
Lausanne, which starts on Friday, other permit events in Europe and some
of them have even opted to train for the World Championship trials
taking place between Jully 31st and August 1st at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Caleb Mwangangi, Commonwealth and Africa 5,000m champion and World
Cross-country silver medallist Bedan Karoki will be making their
comeback from injury for their first Diamond League meet of the season
in Lausanne on Thursday.
Karoki received an injury to one of her tendons during training just
after winning silver at the World Cross-country Championships in China
during March but has said that he is now fully fit and doing well in
“My body has been responding well to training and there is no pain in the leg,” said Karoki.
