Teams selected for Bamburi series

Nairobi - Six teams are set to participate in this year’s edition of Bamburi Super Series that will take place in different venues in Kenya and Uganda between April and June.
Of the six teams, four are Kenyan and the other two are Ugandan clubs, namely Ruwenzori and Victoria.
Ndovu, Kifaru, Papa and Chui will represent Kenya and the matches will be used to select talent s that will join the national team.
“Any player who demands participation at the senior teams be it Kenya sevens or Kenya 15s will be noticed and will be picked,” said Kenya Rugby Union Chairman, Mwangi Muthee.
The six teams have pooled in two Pools withes Pool A consisting of Ndovu Victoria and Chui while Pool B consist of Ruwenzori, Papa and Kifaru.
The series will be held in five different days starting on April 26 in Kampala, Uganda with a match between Victoria and Chui teams in pool A and later Ruwenzori versus Papa of Pool B.
The second day of the match will be in Kakamega on May 3rd where Papa will play against Kifaru and later on Ndovu will face it off with Victoria. Nakuru will host the series matches on 17 May where Kifaru and Ruwenzori will play in at two in the afternoon while Ndovu and Chui will battle against each other at four.
The semi finals of the Bamburi Series will take place in Machakos on 24th May while the finals will be held in Nairobi on June 7.
