Michael Kwambo, KRU executive said the competition was set to prepare the national team for the oncoming International Rugby Board series that is set to kick off in two weeks time, among other tournaments.

“This will be the first assignment for the Kenya Sevens Academy as they prepare for the 2014 Youth Olympics in China,” he said.

The highly anticipated contest has been categorized into three including competition from the national teams, schools tertiary institutions and lastly the veterans category.

The KRU confirmed that all the arrangement had been concluded and the selections of the teams would be finalized in due course.
