Nairobi - The Under-19 national rugby team has made seven changes to the team that seeks to overcome last weekend's loss to Uganda.
The changes come ahead of the return leg on Saturday.
Head Coach, Paul “Pau” Murunga, has effected the changes after the U-19 team fell to a 10-15 defeat to Uganda in the Elgon Cup first leg match in Kampala.
According to Kenya Rugby and Football Union, Billy Isabwa, Philip Ikambili and Oscar Simiyu make the starting 15 as Luka Omoti, Daniel Abuoji, Kanyiri Kariuki and Gregory Ochieng all start from the bench.
“Chipu are using the clashes against Uganda as part of their preparations for the Confederation of African Rugby’s U-19 championships slated for Namibia in August,” said KRFU in a statement.
Meanwhile, the senior women's team, the Lionesses, holds a massive 18 point advantage against Uganda's Lady Cranes heading into the return match on Saturday.
