National cricket team to compete in South Africa

Nairobi - The national cricket team will tour to South Africa for the
Global Softech series that will feature six South African domestic franchises
and six African countries.
Matches will be played at SuperSport park in Centurion with
the goal of the tournament being to use Africa as a platform to expose new
audiences to the game of cricket.
The main objective is to spread the sport across the
Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and hosts South
Africa, will take part in the African Sixes challenge; while the Cape Cobras,
Chevrolet Knights, Chevrolet Warriors, Unlimited Titans, Sunfoil Dolphins and
the Lions, will take part in the franchise sixes challenge.
There will be six players in each side with each team
bowling five overs.
After the Softech sixes, Kenya will play in the Africa
cricket Association Cup between the 8th-13th of September.
Kenya's first match in the ACA cup will be against Uganda,
followed by games against South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Tanzania.
