National Sevens Series kicks off with Christie Sevens

Nairobi - The 2015 National Sevens Series gets underway when the first leg, the Christie Sevens is played on 1st and 2nd August at the RFUEA Grounds off Ngong Road in Nairobi.

Defending series champions KCB are seeded first and headline Pool A which also has Western Bulls, Total Nondies and Egerton Wasps.

Last year's series runners up Homeboyz RFC are in Pool B with Resolution Impala Saracens, Kabras Sugar and Mean Machine while Top Fry Nakuru come into this fixture seeded third and top of a Pool C that has Pan Africa Strathmore Leos, Catholic Monks and Blak Blad.

Christie Sevens champions Mwamba are pooled with hosts Kenya Harlequin, Kisumu and Daystar in Pool D.

The Division 2 competition will be held concurrent to the top tier competition and also features twenty teams pooled in five groups of four teams each.

Thika  RFC headline Pool E which also features MKU Thika, Moi University and Kenya Harlequin II. KCA, Stormers, Brumbies and Chipu make up Pool F. 

Mombasa, Kenya Sharks, Kisii and KPA Eldoret are in Pool G while JKUAT, Bungoma, Kiambu and Kemu are in Pool H. TUK, Comras, Masaku and Makueni make up Pool I.

Tickets will retail at Ksh 300 on Saturday and Sunday while the season ticket goes for Ksh 500. The tournament will also be broadcast and streamed live on Zuku Sports.
