Machakos ready for African Women's sevens championships

Nairobi - Machakos is ready to host the African women's sevens championships over the weekend.
Eight of Africa's best women's sevens
rugby teams led by champions South Africa, hosts Kenya, Uganda, Senegal,
Zimbabwe, Tunisia and Madagascar will do battle in the quest to be
crowned queens of African sevens rugby at the close of business on
This year's tournament will be a one day
affair, the eight teams divided into two pools of of four each. The top
two sides from both pools will play in the cup semis with the bottom
two playing in the bowl semis.
Kenya are in Pool A together with
champions South Africa,Senegal and Madagascar while Pool B has last
year's beaten finalists Tunisia, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
