Lung’aho targets title defence

Nairobi - Kenya’s volleyball coach, David Lung’aho, has expressed confidence his side will defend its African Cup of Nations Women Volleyball title.
Kenya, which is hosting the tournament, got off to a positive start over the weekend, outshining Senegal the perennial opponents, by thrashing them three sets to nought (25-20, 25-20 and 16-0.)
Kenya also beat Egypt three sets to one of (25-17, 25-17, 18-25) in a tightly contested match.
The win culminated in Kenyan winning the Zone H title and direct qualification to the next stage.
Lung’aho sung praises of his team.
“I knew the Egyptian side would present a tough challenge but I am grateful to the Kenyan side as they put up a strong game that kept their on the defending side. I am confident in the team and strongly believe that the side will defend its title when the tournament comes to end," Lung’aho said.
