Late change for Kenya seens as they head to Glasgow
28 April 2014, 16:34
Nairobi - Kenya have made a late change to their squad travelling to the final
legs of the 2013/2014 HSBC Sevens World Series in Glasgow and London,
recalling former captain Humphrey Kayange in place of Philip Wamae who
was injured in the team's second last training session.
Team Manager Steve Sewe said, "It is
unfortunate that Philip misses out, particularly after working his way
into the squad after being sidelined for a better part of the season
following an injury sustained in Dubai. After consultation with the rest
of the technical bench, Humphrey was called up as it was felt his
experience and leadership would be of critical importance was we seek to
close the season on a high."
The team departs the country this evening for Glasgow where they are in Pool C together with Fiji, Argentina and Wales.
