Nairobi - Following their impressive London Marathon victories recently, Wilson Kipsang and Edna Kiplagat have set sights on the Mattoni Olomouc Half Marathon in the Czech Republic.
The race is scheduled for June 21.
The Kenyan duo, who won both men's and women's London Marathon races will contest for the first time.
Both Kipsang and Kiplagat will leave no stone unturned in their quest to maintain their reputation in the world's long distance running competition.
Kipsang is the long distance world record-holder while Kiplagat is the female double world champion, who boast several athletics accolades for both Kenya and Africa.
Commenting ahead of the international marathon race, Carlo Capalbo, President of the Organising Committee of the Mattoni Olomouc Half Marathon, said preparations of the highly anticipated long distance running event were at an advanced stage.
He said instead of international athletes competing in renowned major cities such as London or New York, for the first time the marathon would host renowned long distance runners.
