Kenya ready to defend Elgon Cup

Nairobi - Kenya are ready to defend their pride when they face Uganda in the return leg of the 2014 Elgon Cup at the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi.

Utility back Eden Agero will start at scrum half for Kenya A against Uganda’s Rugby Cranes in their Elgon Cup return clash at Nairobi’s RFUEA Grounds on Saturday 19 July.

Agero, a utility back who slots in with relative ease at the scrum half and fly half positions has also played for the Kenya Sevens team and has previous Elgon Cup experience, having featured in the 2012 squad that lost 19-17 on aggregate to the Ugandans. He takes the place of George Mutuku who will not feature in the match day squad.

Head Coach Dominique “Papa” Habimana has made two other changes to his starting line up, the others being Brian Sagara coming in Andrew Chogo in the forwards with Nato Simiyu taking over from Jacob Ojee at full back.

Isaiah Nyariki, Victor Brown and Rocky Aguko all make the match day squad and will start from the bench.
