Nairobi - Kenya Sevens skipper Andrew Amonde has warned his team-mates not to
underestimate their opponents at the Olympic qualifiers slated for
Johannesburg in two weeks time.
The flanker explained that although they are the favourites they must show respect to their fellow sevens teams.
"Obviously, we are the favourites but we are not taking anything for granted,” he told the-star.co.ke.
"The Olympics are the pinnacle of every sportsman so it will be a
tall order to qualify and we must be at our best in the qualifiers.
"We know what Zimbabwe can do. We saw them at the Safari Sevens last
month and they are likely to being some of their foreign-based players.
"Tunisia are also a good team who on their day can upset anyone while
Madagascar love to play with freedom and flair so it’s going to be a
competitive tournament and we must take each game at a time."
