Karoki set for comeback

19 June 2015, 15:19

Nairobi - Bedan Koroki is hoping to return from injury ahead of the Diamond League meet in Lausanne, Switzerland, on July 9.

The world cross-country silver medalist is recovering from a tendon injury that has kept him out since the beginning of May.

The Kenyan has stated that he is finally ready to compete again as he prepares for the World championship in Beijing later this year in August.

"The injury has healed and I am feeling much better," Karoki told nation.co.ke.

"After Lausanne, I will prepare for the World Championships trials."

The 24-year-old also has hopes that Kenya can win the 10, 000m once again, something they have not achieved since 2001, and dethrone Mo Farrah as the world’s best long distance runner.
