Kamau: I can challenge South Africas, Egyptians

Nairobi - Kenyan swimming prodigy Rebeca Kamau believes she can upset the
established order and win medals at the ongoing All Africa Games in
The 16-year-old has already qualified for the 200 metre individual
medley at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games thanks to her
performance at the British Championships in April.
However, Kamau says she will still go all out in Brazzaville in hopes boosting her confidence.
“I have trained very well and I am hopeful of getting a medal at the
All Africa Games that will give me proper motivation going into the
Olympics Games,” she told.
“As usual, the greatest challenge will come from South Africa and Egypt but I consider myself strong enough to be successful.”
Kamau, who attends the Tudor Grange Academy near Birmingham, England,
will compete in the 200m individual medley, 100m breaststroke, 100m
butterfly, 200m freestyle and the 50m breaststroke.
