Nairobi - Injuries and an unresolved issue with experienced players have severely hit the Kenyan Sevens team ahead of the Dubai and South African legs of the IRB World series circuit.
Two of the players, who featured in the opening leg in Australia in October -- Augustine Lugonzo and Max Theuri -- have been ruled out.
Impala Saracens fly-half Sam Onsomu has been handed a call-up by coach Paul Treu while Oscar Ayodi, one of the 10 players who have been locked up in a contractual dispute with the Kenya Rugby Union, is also included in the 12-man squad.

"It was a bit of a challenge to put this team together but I think we have a good mix, especially with some of the experienced players coming to the side," said Treu, who will be celebrating one year since taking over the helm.
"We are looking forward for the two tournaments. It is going to be tough because we're grouped with Australia, England and the USA in Dubai.
"We will be playing some of the toughest teams and obviously we can't wait to see how these players will fare."
