Golden spike Kemboi returns home

08 August 2012, 16:27

Nairobi - Two-time Olympic champion and the pride of Kenya thus far at London 2012, Ezekiel Kemboi, arrived back home on Wednesday.

In an interview via phone from Eldoret, Kemboi told Capital News that he is resting for now and that he is proud of what he did for Kenya but he now needs to spend time with his family.

His arrival was low key compared to the fanfare that ensued when he ran 8:18.56 to reclaim the crown he lost to compatriot Brimin Kipruto in Beijing where he finished fifth.
