Free EU visas for Kenyan athletes

Nairobi - The EU has given five Kenyan athletes free Schengen visas to compete in European races and the IAAF Diamond League circuit.
Athletes who received the visas include African record holder and winner of Doha DL 3,000m Helen Obiri.
Others are 2012 Africa 5,000m champion, Mark Kiptoo, Vincent Kibet,
2009 World Youth 800m silver medallist, Jeremiah Mutai, and 800m
Commonwealth bronze medalist, Abraham Kiplagat.
Bethel Birgen, Joseph Ebuya, Micah Kogo, Moses Masai, Vivian Cheruiyot and Linet Masai already have Schengen visas.
The visas were handed by the EU Ambassador Lodewijk Briet and Consul for the French Embassy Marie Christine Dufourg.
