Dala Sevens rugby reaches quarter-final stages

10 August 2014, 09:57

Nairobi - The Dala Sevens rugby tournament reaches the quarter-final stages Sunday after a full roster of group stage fixtures Saturday.

National sevens champions KCB, defending Dala champions Pan Africa Strathmore, Lunch Bar Quins, Resolution Impala Saracens, Top Fry Nakuru, Total Nondies, Western Bulls and Homeboyz all reached the last eight after finishing in the top half of their preliminary round pools.

KCB topped their pool with a 100% record, coasting to wins over Nondies (31-0), TUK (51-0) and Mwamba (12-5) to set up a quarter final date against Quins in a repeat of last weekend’s Kabeberi Sevens final.
Nakuru’s 28-5 win over Quins saw them top Pool B, earning them a quarter final clash against Pool A runners up Nondies.

Homeboyz RFC were imperious playing out of Pool C, defeating all opposition to top this pool and set up a quarter final meeting against Pan Africa Strathmore Leos whilst Pool D winners Resolution Impala Saracens will meet Western Bulls.
