Athletes share incentives ahead of Bahamas relay

Nairobi - Kenya will on Saturday begin preparations for the World Relays Championships scheduled for Nassau in Bahamas in two months.
The preparations start at Safaricom Stadium as coaches seek to select capable men and women to represent the country at the championships.
Athletics Kenya Vice President, David Okeyo, announced that top three teams from both women and men categories would share the KES 500 000 in this weekend’s preparatory competitions.
This is part of efforts to make the selection process easier and exciting, according to officials.
Big names expected to take part although some are yet to show keen interest at the preparations.
Among these are world champion Eunice Sum, Anthony Chemut, Robert Kaptingei, Daniel Komen, Joseph Magut, Nicholas Melly and Collins Cheboi among others.
Kenya is expected to participate in both men and women's 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, 4x800m and 4x1,500m races.
