Argentina to warm up at Safaricom Sevens

Nairobi - Argentina’s sevens team are hoping to hit their straps at the Safaricom Safari Sevens in Nairobi this weekend.
The Safari Sevens will be Argentina’s first competitive outing this
season and they will be using the tournament to warm up for the start of
the World Sevens Series in Australia next month.
Santiago Gomez, Argentina’s coach, told the Daily Nation that a lot rested on their performance in Nairobi.
“This is our first and last competitive build-up ahead of Gold
Coast,” Gomez said on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

The World Sevens Series kicks off on October 11 at the C bus Super
Stadium in Queensland, Australia. Gomez’s side have been drawn in Pool D
along with England, USA and Canada.
The Safaricom Safari Sevens takes place from September 26 to 28 at the Safaricom Stadium in Kasarani, Nairobi.
