Nairobi - Orange has expanded its 3G service to Nakuru County.
It is the fifth county to be connected to the high-speed service.
The connection comes a month after the roll out the 3G network in Uasin Gishu County.
Orange Chief executive Officer, Mickael Ghossein, said the endorsement by the industry regulator, the Communications Commission of Kenya, as having the best 3G network in terms of quality of service was enough motivation to maintain the same standard and expand the same quality to new areas in the country.
“Part of our KSh2,5 billion investment this year has been dedicated to the rolling out of 3G network across the country, and the transformation of our operations to enhance service delivery,” added Ghossein.
To celebrate the roll-out of the 3G network into Nakuru County, Orange is offering 100 percent data bonus on all Internet bundles from 20MB to 20GB.
The offer will expire on July 25 and is available countrywide to both Internet on mobile and Internet everywhere (modem) customers.
Subscribers will be able to use the bonus data between 10pm and 6am, daily.
