MTN’s cheap smartphone might just be a winner

Johannesburg-Though MTN’s Steppa has been written off even before it fully reaching stores, some of its features give the  device hope according to Memeburn

The device which retails at KES 5 000 is much cheaper than one of the most sort after phones in South Africa-the BlackBerry.

The steppa is a reference design-based product which puts it in the class of Samsung, HTC and iPhone.

Though its cheap the MTNSteppa has been accused of running on an outdated Operating Sysytem (Gingerbread, Android 2.3.5), but it is preloaded with popular applications like Facebook,Opera Mini, Gmail, Youtube and Whatsapp.
