What next for Raila after Ababu resignation?

08 July 2016, 11:14

Nairobi - ODM leader, Raila Odinga has instructed his MPs to avoid engaging former party Secretary General, Ababu Namwamba.

According to Standard, Raaila says that by engaging Ababu, the MPs are giving him unnecessary attention and an exaggerated feeling of importance.

Following the defection, Raila is now planning a four-day tour of Western starting from July 18 in a bid to woo voters in the region and prevent further fall outs.

Ababu announced his resignation from ODM on Wednesday, but Citizen Digital reports that the MP is yet to hand in his resignation letter.

ODM plans to hold a meeting next week to discuss the matter.
