Uhuru Kenyatta ready to go home if he loses the 2017 Presidential election

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta has said that he will accept the outcome of the upcoming general election.

Speaking on Saturday during the thanksgiving rally at Afraha stadium, the President said he is ready to go home if he loses the election.

The Star reports that Uhuru said that he believes in democracy and will thus accept the voice of the people.

In January, a politician allied to the Jubilee alliance caused a stir when he said that the government will rig its way to victory in the 2017 presidential election.

In a clip posted on social media, Shahbal said: “Uchaguzi wa 2017 tutashinda. Tutashinda kwa nguvu; tutanunua, tutaiba … (We shall win the 2017 general election. We shall win by force; we shall buy; we shall rig…”
