Nairobi - Kabete MP, Ferdinand Waititu has maintained that his degree is valid.
Waititu was responding to the Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, who filed a suit against Waititu on Friday claiming that he is not qualified to hold an elective office.
Waititu has however insisted that he went to Punjab University, SGGS College where he graduated with Second Class honors upper division in 1988.
However, Daily Nation reports that he was admitted to the University the same year as the Kiambu Governor who has since denied ever meeting Waititu at the University.
Citizen Digital further reports that the papers presented by the Kabete MP at a press briefing did not bear his official names.
In mitigation, Waititu said that he joined the institution long after Kabogo.
