Machakos - Machakos Senator, Johnson Muthama has come under fire for threatening to beat up Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) boss, Halakhe Waqo.
Muthama, who has been on the EACC radar over the irregular sale of Malili ranch, is heard threatening to give the anti-graft boss a thorough beating.
In the clip captured in Tala Kangundo during a recent function, the outspoken Senator says: "Ngoja ni kuweke Uhuru Park nikutandike sawasawa .. nitakulima sawasawa kama shamba linapandwa (I will parade you at Uhuru Park… and give you a thorough beating).”
However, this has not gone well with Kenyans who have come out to condemn the Senator for his loose mouth which has landed him in uncountable hate speech cases in the past.
Dennis Ole Itumbi, the Senior Director Digital Innovations & Diaspora Communications Kenya, says: “By threatening a public official who is fighting corruption as EACC CEO, Senator Hon. Muthama violates his oath of office.”
