MP’s son to hang for robbing tourist in Mombasa

Nairobi- The son of Matuga MP, Hassan Mwanyoha has been sentenced to death for robbing a tourist.
Mwanyoha was charged alongside another man, with whom he allegedly robbed a Polish tourist an LG mobile phone, pair of spectacles, company ID and five credit cards all worth KES 14,625 at knife point.
According to Standard Digital, the incident occurred at Bougan Villa Estate in Diani on August 19, 2015.
It is alleged that Mwanyoha has been in remand since August after failing to raise his bond.

Meanwhile, the grandson of the late Minister, Njenga Karume has been charged for the murder of his fiancé.
Kenneth Wathugi Karume allegedly pushed Victoria Wairimu Kulungia from the balcony of their house in Kiambu, leading to her death.
Karume however denied the charges, Daily Nation reports, adding that the case will be heard after two weeks.
