MP claims rigging of the 2017 election has started in Mombasa

Mombasa - Changamwe MP, Omar Mwinyi has reported the onset of rigging the 2017 general election in Mombasa.
Omar claims that there are people who have been visiting homesteads collecting residents’ ID and mobile numbers in what he terms as “pre-rigging of the 2017 general election”.
According to The Star, the individuals have been claiming that they are collecting the information to help them out of poverty.
He has called on the government to investigate the matter as soon as possible.
Mombasa is a CORD stronghold.
In the past, area Governor Ali Hassan Joho has been quoted as saying that local residents will not vote for Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017.
