Nairobi - Political leaders from the across the divide have reacted differently to Anne Waiguru’s resignation.
To Cord and Jubilee leaders who were pushing for her ouster, it was jubilation.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka welcomed the resignation and called for the disbandment of the Devolution Ministry which he said has been used to “kill devolution and weaken the opposition.”
According to Nandi hills MP who had sponsored an impeachment motion against the embattled CS, Waiguru’s resignation was an answer to his prayers.
However, other Jubilee leaders said her decision to step down should not be misconstrued to mean she was guilty of corruption.
Waiguru resigned Saturday over health concerns.
