Nairobi - MCAs have said that they will only leave office in March 2018, when their term expires.
The MCAs took office in March 2013 following the delayed general election.
The next general election is scheduled for August 8 2017, Daily Nation reports, which they say ends their terms prematurely.

The constitutional gives them a term of five years which ends on March 4, 2018.
It is for this reason that the County Assemblies Forum chairman Nahu Nassir said that newly elected MCAs will have to wait for eight months so that sitting MCAs can finish their tenure, The Star reports.
