Kabogo to succeed Uhuru in 2022

Nairobi - Political leaders from Central Kenya have endorsed the Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta after his retirement in 2022.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was took office in 2013, is expected to run for second and final term in next year’s election before leaving the baton to his Deputy William Ruto.
According to Standard, Kiambu deputy Governor says that William Kabogo will be the best running mate for Ruto when his time to run for presidency comes, in 2022.
Earlier, an MP from Nakuru County was reported saying that Jubilee was grooming Kabogo for the rule in 2022.
"You have seen Kabogo moving around with DP Ruto and you have seen him making rounds in Rift Valley; that is a clear indication he has his eyes fixed on something and we will help him get there," said the MP.
"There is no person who can lead central Kenya after the retirement of Uhuru better than Kabogo," he added.
He added that Ruto will have to pick a running mate from mount Kenya region, and that they have started preparing Kabogo for the position.
