Government official kills guard in hotel bill row

28 December 2015, 12:26

Nyando - Nyando constituency manager, Kennedy Ooko is on the run after killing a security guard over KES 1500 debt.

Ooko, who is also eying the Ahero Ward Rep seat, shot dead the Jesmic Hotel guard in a bill row on Christmas day.

The ward rep aspirant allegedly wanted to shoot the waiter who had served him after presenting him with the bill, when the guard intervened.

The guard who was the sole breadwinner for his family was shot and killed instantly, Standard reports, sparking outrage from members of public who have demanded for his arrest and disarmament.
