CORD Governor quits

Nairobi - Machakos Governor, Dr Alfred Mutua has quit CORD and launched his own party.
Mutua, who was elected on a Wiper party ticket launched the Maendeleo Chap Chap party Thursday evening at Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi.
The Governor has been marketing the Maendeleo Chap Chap movement across the country, saying it was a vehicle for developing the nation.

According to The Star, Mutua cited lethargy, outdated bureaucracy, corruption and politics of poverty as the four enemies of development in the country.
In his speech, he said: "Maendeleo Chap Chap is a paradigm for speedy, efficient and people centered leadership and development processes."
On his Facebook page, he added: “This people-centred movement priding in a new consciousness that cuts across all party lines will take this great Nation to where it is supposed to be.”
