Waititu: Kidero's victory was forged

12 March 2014, 16:39

Nairobi - Former Embakasi MP, Ferdinand Waititu Tuesday asked the Court of Appeal to nullify the election of Nairobi governor Evans Kidero saying his victory in last year’s polls was forged.

However, Kidero through his lawyer Tom Ojienda, told the same court that Waititu was repeating issues he raised in the petition he filed at the High Court after the polls. The petition was dismissed in Kidero’s favour.

In the ruling, Daily Nationreports, Waititu was also ordered to pay off the costs of the petition after the court found the case he had presented did not have enough evidence.

The judgment will be delivered on May 16, 2014
