Uhuru's defence asked to propose trial venue
30 July 2013, 09:06
Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta's lawyers have been asked to file proposals on where the court will sit for trial, reports Daily Nation.
They have been up to August 13 to decide whether the venue of the opening of the trial session set for November 12, should be in Kenya or Tanzania, or a venue of the chamber’s choice.
According to presiding judge Kuniko Ozaki, the application seeking to change the venue was made by Francis Muthaura’s lawyers, but cannot continue since charges against him were dropped.
