Uhuru tells off detractors

15 August 2013, 08:01

Nairobi -  President Uhuru Kenyatta has told his political detractors to give him a break and stop threatening with putting the country through a referendum, Capital News reports.

Speaking on Wednesday the president accused former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, of being hypocritical by calling for the amendment of a Constitution that he (Odinga) actively campaigned to have enacted.

Kenyatta said that Odinga should have voiced his concerns earlier before the constitution was passed and that he has lost all patience for the opposition’s constant criticism of his newly formed government.
