Uhuru drums up support for Waititu

28 February 2013, 14:02

Nairobi - The Standard reports Jubilee presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta has urged TNA candidates and supporters to back Ferdinand Waititu's Nairobi gubernatorial bid.

This comes after former nominated MP Rachel Shebesh and outgoing Makadara MP Gideon Mbuvi ‘Sonko’ had announced that they were now backing Alliance Party of Kenya candidate Jimnah Mbaru.

The move appears to be a blow for Mbaru as the race for Nairobi Governor seat tightens between ODM’s Evans kidero and Waititu.
