Uhuru - Ruto coalition talks slacken

Nairobi - Coalition talks between Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto have slackened because of their competing interests and precautions both sides have taken to avert a raw deal.
The Standard reports that the negotiations by National Alliance presidential aspirant and United Democratic Party flag-bearer have not agreed on who else should be brought onboard.
With three weeks to the statutory deadline for parties to submit their pre-election coalition agreements Ruto is now working on a strategy to have this deadline extended.
