Uhuru: I am seeking leadership as Kenyan not Kikuyu

19 November 2012, 11:17

dIsiolo - The Standard reports that the Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has asked his rivals to desist from dragging his ethnicity into the presidential campaigns.

Speaking on his second day tour of Isiolo County at Garba-Tulla Baraza Park in Isiolo South Constituency on Sunday, Uhuru said those using his tribe’s name to discredit him were insincere.

The Party of National Alliance presidential hopeful said he is seeking leadership as a Kenyan and not as a Kikuyu, adding that the fact that his father was a President should not be used as a propaganda tool to discredit him.
