UDF pledges peaceful primaries, receives defectors

Nairobi - The United Democratic Forum (UDF) has promised its supporters peaceful nominations as it received politicians defecting from other parties on Wednesday.

Daily Nation reports the party welcomed former PNU officials George Nyamweya and Stanley Livondo at an event held at its party headquarters ahead of Thursday's primaries. The two are running for the Senator position in Kisii and Nairobi counties respectively.

UDF's national chairman Hassan Osman also received Ndura Waruinge and Babloo Walji aspiring for parliamentary seats in Nairobi.
